Are you part of the world of human trafficking as someone who has lived it, knows someone who has, or are part of the movement to end it? Are you a creative person interested in sharing stories through the creative arts? Do you have something you want to express to the community?
Participants can share whatever they feel comfortable with and are under no expectation to talk about their exploitation or trauma unless they would like to.
Anyone with experience surrounding human trafficking – whether it be from lived experience or as an advocate.
If you would like support in crafting your piece, we will hold 4 workshops at the end of 2022 to help you prepare. Each workshop will be focus on a topic: poetry, storytelling, spoken word, and safely sharing your story as someone who has experienced human trafficking.
Participation in this event is solely optional, and those who decide to participate will not be compensated. If we do charge a fee for the event, the fee will go towards covering the cost of producing the event.
