In celebration of Fair Trade Month, UAHT is hosting a screening of “The Dark Side of Chocolate.” Immediately following the screening will be a Q&A with special guest, Jeff Abella, the Co-Founder & CEO of Moka Origins, a direct-trade coffee and chocolate bar manufacturing company. Moka Origin’s proceeds are used to develop their humanitarian work and pay higher prices for cacao and coffee. “Trafficking on cacao (and coffee) farms and poor compensation structures go hand in hand, and I’d love to share my experiences and how consumers can play a role in reducing demand by making better purchasing choices.” – Jeff Abella We would love for adults, families, and students to join us for this event to honor Fair Trade Month.
