Racial Justice Series: How Human Trafficking Affects the Native American Community
January 13, 2021 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
This presentation will examine how the Native American community is disproportionately affected by human trafficking. Since the arrival of Christopher Columbus, tribes indigenous to these lands have been exploited and suffered the highest rates of violence than that of any other minority. We’ll explore the history of this exploitation and how colonialism still affects this population today. Finally, we’ll examine ways we can move forward and take action.
